I am Ashley, and I am your farmer florist.
My passion for agriculture is rooted in growing up in Shenandoah County. I was very active in FFA and worked in the local flower shop during high school. After teaching then leaving my corporate marketing job, I became a stay-at-home mom and farmer. We pasture-raise chicken and grow flowers from seed. I am a go-getter and have always loved creative projects, so creating your art with flowers is one of my favorite things to do as a farmer. Though it is just me and my little girl, PJ, we have florist friends we can call on if you have a large floral need. Explore the options I offer to be your farmer florist below:
A one-woman show
Availability: we grow over 90% of our flowers. Things like sunflowers grow in as little as 60 days while some popular blooms take over 100 days to grow. We will share all of our blooms in season during the time of your wedding/event. Your florals may be 100% grown by us or only partially grown depending on what you want. We love growing flowers right here in the Shenandoah Valley since most florals are from outside of the US.
Wreaths and garland are the first products we ever offered at Shady Hill. All wreaths and garland are made to order with greenery from the Shenandoah Valley. We specialize in centerpieces, garland, and wreath with any colors or details requested.
*We are also looking for brides who want to turn some blooms from the bridal bouquet into wreaths that will last forever.
